Latham & Watkins has continued its lateral hiring push with two notable partner additions this week, bringing in senior talent from Ropes & Gray and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
In Chicago, Ryan Rohlfsen has joined the firm’s White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice and Litigation & Trial Department.
Rohlfsen advises multinational companies, boards and senior executives on high-stakes government-facing matters, including internal investigations, enforcement actions and crisis management. His experience covers corruption matters, securities and accounting fraud, healthcare fraud, sanctions and export controls, money laundering and data privacy investigations.
Before returning to private practice, he served as a federal prosecutor in the US Department of Justice’s Criminal Fraud Section, including within the DOJ’s specialist FCPA enforcement unit.
“With over two decades of experience around the world, including as a former senior US federal prosecutor and trial lawyer, Ryan brings exceptional credentials and deep investigations, compliance, and government enforcement defense expertise to Latham,” said Terra Reynolds.
Meanwhile in New York, Marco Caffuzzi has joined Latham’s Real Estate Practice from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Caffuzzi advises on complex real estate financings, restructurings, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions and infrastructure projects. His client base includes commercial banks, institutional lenders, sponsors, foreign investors and private capital providers.
“Marco is an accomplished real estate leader and tremendous addition to our expanding team,” said Douglas Heitner, Global Chair of Latham’s Real Estate Practice.
